flame作名词时可数吗

flame可做可数名词，也可做不可数名词。

作火焰讲的时候应该是可数名词。

例如：

The heat from the flames was so intense that roads melted.

火焰的热度如此高以至于路面融化了。

The flames grew larger as the fire spread.

火势蔓延，火焰越来越高。

When the fire engine arrived the house was already in flames (= burning).

消防车赶到时，房屋已是一片火海。
