connect和associate的区别

connect指两事物在某一点上相连接，但彼此又保持独立

如:Please connect the computer to internet.把电脑连到因特网上

They'll connect it to your room. 他们会把电话接到你房间去的

associate指人与人友好和平、平等地联合在一起；用于物时，指两事物因历史或其它原因，很自然被人们联系在一起，即产生联想。

associate with指“与……常在一起，跟……交友”，而be associated with指“与……相联系”。

He associates with all kinds of people.

他常与各种人交朋友。

He is associated with Mr Brown in business.

他和布朗先生在生意上相联系。
