Dear Peter,

I am writing to tell you about an exhibition in our school. The exhibition of portfolios was held in the Exhibition Hall of our school from 4:00 to 6:00 on the afternoon of March 9, 2012. It was to promote students’ development by viewing their self-made portfolios. Each class selected 10 best portfolios to participate. A variety of things involved in students’ growth were in the portfolios, such as pictures of their art works and prizes, some meaningful materials in the process of their growth, assessment from their parents, friends and teachers and their reflection, etc. After all the students and judges finished watching the portfolios, the judges scored each participant on the spot. Those who received the highest scores were awarded by our school.

The activity, thought highly of by all the students and teachers, provides a platform for students to display their talents and achievements, allowing other students to learn. The portfolios witness the students’ growing experiences, which is beneficial to their development.
