各位老师，大家下午好！能够参加此次面试，我感到非常的荣幸。现在我的心情十分激动，也有一点紧张。如果表达得不好，还请各位老师多多包涵！

Good afternoon, dear teachers. It’s my great honor to have so good an opportunity to attend the interview. I’m a little excited and nervous as well. Please forgive me if I couldn’t perform well.

首先，请让我介绍一下自己。

Firstly, let me give you an introduction.

我叫ABC，今年22岁。我来自于XX省，XX市。我目前就读于XX大学，主修XX专业。大学期间，我努力学习，刻苦钻研，取得了良好的学习成绩。不过由于客观因素的影响，我在专业知识的某些方面还存在缺陷；各方面能力与重点院校的学生还存在一定差距。但我为人积极向上，进取心强，因此我有信心弥补自己的不足。

I’m a boy/girl of 22 years old with the name ABC. I come from XX City, XX Province and study in XX University with my major XX. With my hard and assiduous study, I have achieved good academic achievements. However, due to some objective factors, I have shortcomings in some aspects of professional knowledge. Compared with the students of key universities, there is still some way to go, but I have confidence to make up for my shortage because of my positive attitude and strong enterprise.

我性格开朗，有较强的责任感和集体荣誉感。大学期间，我积极地参加班级里的各项活动，热心地帮助有困难的同学，与同学和师长建立了深厚的友谊。大学的集体生活让我收获不少，不但帮助我改掉了一些不良习惯，而且让我学会了相互理解与包容。

I’m a person with pleasant personality, strong responsibility and collective sense of honor. During my college life, i played an active part in participating class activities and heartily helped the students in trouble, thus establishing a deep friendship with my teachers and schoolmates. I also gained a lot from group activities, not only did i correct some bad habits, but also learnt mutual understanding and tolerance.

在课余时间里，我喜欢看一些文学、历史方面的书籍。不过这个爱好是在考研复习过程中才发现的，现在才刚刚入门。体育和音乐也是我的爱好之一。

In my spare time, I’m fond of reading books about literature and history, but this hobby developed during my postgraduate exam review just begins. PE and music are also what I am interested in.

接下来，我想说说自己考研的原因。

Then, I want to discuss the reasons for my taking part in the Postgraduate Exam.

经过三年半的学习，我对自己所学专业的认识不断加深。我觉得XX领域的发展潜力巨大。我国当前只是一个制造大国，而不是制造强国，还有很多关键技术没有掌握，许多重要装备需要进口。因此我希望进一步学习专业知识、提升个人能力，争取日后有所成就。

After study of three years and a half, i have understood my major more and more deeply and I think the development potential in the field of XX is huge. China is a big country rather than a powerful one in manufacture. Some key technologies have not been mastered and many important equipments still need to be imported. Hence, I hope to further learn professional knowledge and improve personal abilities so as to do some contributions in the future.

XX省的XX行业实力雄厚，这无疑为我提供了一个良好的外部环境。加之我生于XX省，长于XX省，所以我选择留在XX省深造。

The strong strength in XX industry of XX Province undoubtedly provides a good external environment for me. In addition, I was born and grew up in XX, so I choose to stay here for advanced studies.

XX大学是XX省综合实力最强的大学，而且XX学科是国家一级重点学科。这里有着许多优秀的老师和学子，我非常渴望能加入他们的队伍，***同奋斗！我综合地考虑了社会需求，家人愿望和个人理想三各方面，最后做出了决定。

XX University is the best university in XX Province, and XX is the State Key Discipline (Level 1). I’m longing for a place with so many splendid teachers and students and want to strive with them together. According to the three aspects of social needs, family wishes and personal ideal, I come to the decision at last.
