caveman的意思是：穴居人；野蛮的人；粗野的人。

穴居人是指20万年前到4万年前，起源于欧洲、居住在欧亚大陆上的几种近似于现代人的、具有高等智慧和社会性的灵长类生物。因其化石多发现于欧亚大陆山脉和谷底的洞穴中而得名。穴居人的历史贯穿整个冰河时期，但随着现代人类的足迹进入欧亚大陆，穴居人却从地球上神秘消失了。
