divide是可数名词还是不可数名词?

您好，按照个人的理解，divide 作为（名词）时，

1）当译为分歧、界限时，是可数名词，比如：

a cultural divide between the people.（民众间的一个文化分歧）

the difference of gender is a divide（性别差异就是一道分界线）

2）当译为分水岭，尤其山谷或河系间高地形成的分水岭时会视为不可数名词，比如：

the sharp divide between rich and poor regions（贫富之间清晰的分水岭）

the mountain is the divide between the two rivers（这座山是这两条河的分水岭）
